Description
In this class we will be walking the grounds of a private property in Northwestern CT. We will be finding, Identifying and discussing wild edibles found in the area. For this foraging walk Joe Ross from EatThePlanet.org has teamed up with herbalist and entrepreneur Amelia South. Amelia is the owner of Black Sun Farms where she makes small batch herbal products using the local flora found in CT. Our walk and specific featured wild edibles will depend on what is available at that time. We will be discussing edible components, medicinal uses, environmental importance, taxonomy and more.
